When are the roads closed?
On Sunday, October 25, 2026, ordinary roads are closed from about 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM and the Shuto Expressway from about 4:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Times differ by area and section: Minato Mirai reopens around 10:30 AM, Honmoku, Negishi and Sugita around 11:40 AM – 12:50 PM, and the Yamashita Park and Red Brick Warehouse area around 3:20–3:30 PM. Times are estimates and may change with the race.
What are the closure times by area?
Minato Mirai 6:30–10:30 AM; Red Brick Warehouse, Yokohama Customs, Yamashita Park and Yamashita Bridge 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM; Nishikicho (Honmoku Pier) 8:00 AM – 3:20 PM; Honmoku 8:00–11:40 AM; Negishi Station 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM; Godo Bridge (Shin-Sugita) 8:20 AM – 12:50 PM; Yokohama Nambu Market and Torihamacho 8:30 AM – 12:50 PM (all approximate). Times also differ by section within each area, so check each section on the map.
What about the Shuto Expressway and the Minato Mirai Tunnel?
The course uses the Shuto Expressway Bayshore Route, and the expressway is closed from about 4:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The Minato Mirai Tunnel is closed from about 7:35 to 10:30 AM.
Can I cross the course on foot?
During the closures pedestrians cannot cross the course at some points. The map shows 55 footbridges and other points marked as crossable on the official closure maps as blue dots (shown only when usable). The at-grade crossings at the Red Brick Warehouse, on Yamashita Park-dori and in Shin-Yamashita open from about 10:30 AM, and those in front of Negishi Station can be used throughout the closures. For Pacifico Yokohama, use the footbridge on the Sony City Minatomirai side.
Where are the start and finish?
The full marathon, pair relay and Minato Mirai 7 km run start at 8:30 AM in front of Yokohama Landmark Tower (6-hour limit for the full marathon). The Wangan Highway Run starts from 10:00 AM and the Enjoy Runs from 9:40 AM in waves. All races finish at Pacifico Yokohama Rinko Park.
Where will it be crowded?
Crowds are expected around Landmark Tower (the runners' start area) from about 7:30 to 9:00 AM, around Nambu-Shijo Station (the Wangan Highway Run start area) from about 9:00 to 10:30 AM, and around Shin-Sugita (the pair relay changeover point) from about 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

The Shuto Expressway closes from 4:00 AM and ordinary roads from 6:30 AM area by area; by about 8:30 AM every section is closed to vehicles (each section on the map shows its own start time). The full marathon, pair relay and Minato Mirai 7 km run start at 8:30 AM in front of Yokohama Landmark Tower. Pedestrians should cross the course at the blue dots (footbridges and other crossing points).
- 09:40〜 Minato Mirai reopens
Minato Mirai sections reopen in turn from about 9:40 to 10:30 AM (Sakura-dori 9:40, Minatomirai-odori 9:50, toward Sakaecho 10:00, toward Rinko Park 10:10, Pacifico Yokohama–Kokusai Bridge 10:30). The Minato Mirai Tunnel stays closed until about 10:30.
- 11:40〜 Honmoku, Negishi & Sugita reopen
Honmoku (Honmoku-dori, in front of Sankeien) reopens around 11:40 AM, in front of Negishi Station around 12:00, Isogo around 12:30 and Sugita to Nambu Market around 12:50 PM.

The roads leading to the finish stay closed the longest: Yamashita Park-dori, Shin-Yamashita and Honmoku Pier until about 3:20 PM, and the Red Brick Warehouse–Bankoku Bridge area and in front of the Cup Noodles Museum until about 3:30 PM. The Shuto Expressway reopens around 4:30 PM.
