In 2026 the shrine was open all night on New Year's Eve (December 31), 0:00–7:00 PM on January 1, and 6:40 AM–6:30 PM on January 2 and 3. The 2027 hours will be updated once announced.

In 2026, roads around Harajuku and Yoyogi stations were closed from 9:00 PM on December 31 to 6:00 PM on January 1, and 9:00 AM–6:00 PM on January 2 and 3. The 2027 closures will be updated once announced.
